I hate baths!! Look, I'm so pretty! Test subject Playing dead
Treat???

Danny, enough said. He's the pig of the two, always getting dirty somehow. He's very pretty when he is all cleaned up, but it never lasts for long. Danny has been my test subject for learning horses. He's a real sport, because no other horse would have put up with me. We bought him at the same time as Shala Bar, around August 2001. We had someone work with him for a month, but he forgot everything he knew after he wasn't ridden for about 3 months, so we had to go back to the basics.

Danny has a problem with his near side hind hoof; the hoofwall is not grown around all the way on the outside. When he steps, his weight falls to the outside. He can't canter on his right lead on a lunge I believe (I might have got that mixed up again). However, he can sure go when he gets excited on the trail. He's a big frady cat, but he isn't spooky and nervous like his sister Shala Bar.

He's always bad when I leave him. I hear rumors of him chasing his sister, stealing hay, and refusing to stand still while having an occasional abscess doctored. Funny, he's an angel when I'm around. I suppose the stern lecturing works, but just like kids, they party when your not around.

Well, I couldn't ask for much more in a horse. Danny is smart, pretty (rule of thumb, all paints are pretty), and probably the best friend I've ever had. He watches faithfully when I arrive. He whinnies when you come to see him. He watches your every step when you leave. Danny has taught me patience, forgiveness, and that getting something done doesn't have to be difficult.

Hey, its late and I haven't been fed! Where's the barn manager?? Help me Matt or you'll pay for this.

GRASS!

What, you want my head where for the picture?
